I am Magda, currently living and working in Berlin. Over the years, my passion for traveling has grown, and Wanderlust has led me to some of the most remote and hard-to-reach "corners" of the globe. I've traveled to more than 70 countries, but the Pacific region quickly became one of the most special places I've experienced.
This blog is about the islands scattered across the Pacific Ocean in Melanesia, Polynesia, and Micronesia. I was first introduced to the Pacific world during a 3-month European Voluntary Service Project in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. I was captivated. Although the time I spent there gave me some insight into the region, I felt that it was only the beginning. I returned later for a 3-month journey to explore more.
Describing the Pacific Islands can feel like an oversimplification due to their vastness, complexity, historical, cultural, linguistic, and landscape diversity. This blog will touch on some of the unique aspects of Pacific life.
